That is my ordered truck listed on their website. Same VIN and also the same deal as far as price. Anyone else have their dealer list their truck as stock on their webpage?

The part that makes me nervous is that I didn't put a deposit down.

It does not show up on Ford's inventory search.

 

I doubt I would be able to wait until the following day. If in the middle of the night I no I wouldn't sleep well at all knowing I would be getting my baby the following day. Id hate for someone to call in and make an offer on it and be gone too!

 

I think the inventory system is tied to the internet sales system. My ordered truck appeared too...just the vin, and generic description. Don't sweat it!

 

Don't worry about this, it's just the marketing department looking at the incoming inventory list and unknowingly listing it. Obviously, your truck is something they'd like to have more of to offer for sale, but believe me, they won't want to miss your business. Just call them when they open.


When I ordered my King Ranch, my dealer told me that he wished he could get ten of them as he could sell them easier than the lower trim models. I had trouble understanding how a $80,000 truck could sell quicker than a $60,000 truck, but he said that's the way it is.

 

I'd be calling the dealer ASAP.

 

I think it's fairly common, my dealer did that with the truck I ordered also. It gets other potential customers in the door to order their own or buy from stock.

 

Mine appeared on my dealers website as well as through Fords website. I wouldn't sweat it either. Maybe Ford's system is tied to the dealers and its just a an automatic thing.

 

They would have to add it to their inventory in order to transfer it the buyer. We have a green special order window sticker that would stick out. Plus, at my dealer, my VIN pulls up my name/order. I wouldn't worry.

 

Trust but verify. I have had a truck sold out from under me before.

They just want to show it off a bit before you pick it up. If they can get a hillbilly to come kick the tires then he'll order one too.

 

Same thing happened to me, the GM said that it's just the way they get inventoried when they come in. They automatically get added to the website. Youll be fine!

 

We'll have to meet up for a beer once mine comes in. Ordered mine through Sanderson Ford since a friend works there. Due to be built 12/14 and delivered in Jan...

Yes they are supposed to check for special orders but they never do, but don't worry it can't be sold.

 

I like that Peoria Ford will pretty much just drop the price on their web page. Takes a lot of haggling out of it.

Only leaves the haggling with the finance manager.
