"rolling bones" exhibit at Saratoga Auto Museum
i live in upstate ny, not far from saratoga. we have two gems in the area, the saratoga auto museum and the rolling bones hot rod shop. for the next few months there is an exhibit of rolling bones cars and and extensive history of the shop. ken and keith have crossed the country many times in their hot rods and have run many runs at the salt flats. here's a great article with many pics of their cars. if you thought they don't make them like this anymore, well, keith and ken do. enjoy, https://www.saratogaautomuseum.org/bones

I love Saratoga Springs! Back in the early 90s I was working for GE in Schenectady and I was in Saratoga almost every weekend. I love the horse track there. I did not know this museum was there.
Thanks for posting this. I will definitely want to visit next time up there. It might be this coming summer.

keith, the museum opened in 2002. the rolling bones exhibit will only be there for a few months. most of these cars are driven in the summer, virtually all that i thought to check had current registrations on them. the two owners of rolling bones, keith and ken, make frequent runs across the country in these rigs. their shop is not far from saratoga, it might be worth a try to see if you can tour the shop (the barn) while you are here. they do have some permanent exhibits at the museum, cars built in NYS, some racing cars, northeast stock car hall of fame, etc. they routinely have temp exhibits of super cars, classics, etc. plus car shows and in the fall, the hemmings motor news concours de elegance. in the old bottling plant (spring water) at the saratoga spa state park. a nice museum.
