Buying a Canadian built vehicle for use in the US might have one major flaw. The Speedometer. Although the computer can switch the KPH to MPH the numerals of the speedometer are most likely fixed in the dashboard and only the illumination of the major/minor ring changes. We purchased an extremely low mileage MKC last spring and it had been built for the Canadian market. The simple answer to fix this? Change the dash module. But then half of the computerized inputs did not respond. The vehicles are substantially different. The dealer finally wound up purchasing a second Canadian module, since they had exchanged the first one for the US module and physically disassembling the dash modules and replacing the MPH ring with the MPH as the big numbers. Everything is fine now but look how small the inner ring numbers are and ask yourself can you live with that? Vehicles built for the foreign markets, even Canada, are not necessarily the same. In fact all the paperwork had an exclusion "For Sale in Canada Only." EH!
Now if the switch from KPH to MPH is different on the SD, please comment. I don't have one to check out the difference.

That's one of the reason the brokers exist. They generally have to make the vehicle compliant prior to shipping. Not sure about the Super Duty, however one of my contractors bought a new Denali and was having problems with the diesel sensors so the dealer took it back and gave him a new one (which was possible since they would have shipped it to the US).

LOL But I really prefer NY Maple Syrup. Good friend taps trees and boils down about 5 gallons a year. Price is right and it is local!!!!mmmmmm, especially on waffles, pancakes, milk shakes, ice cream, oatmeal, toast, cake, boiled carrots, whipped cream, english muffins, french toast, sausage. I would like to finish this list but just got too hungry.
