hey everyone, i have read every last post i can about the 03+ cv ifs swap. the only thing that nobody mentions is that after cutting out the crossmember what replaces that crossmember that gets cut out? do you use the crown vic one, and if so since i want to put a 302 do i still use the cv crossmember? sorry if its a redundant question.

 

Ok, so the part that goes from one side of the frame to the other is the crossmember, it is part of the cv ifs. I would check youtube. There are a bunch of videos of the steps to this swap. A lot of them are for bumps, but the over all process is the same.

 

'Don't need to.... The CV subframe replaces the OE crossmember. That's why it is referred to as a subframe.
