Visor stickers Billboards warning of impending doom

I tried a search but only found a couple of threads from 2011. It seems that the warning stickers on the visors have kinda gotten out of hand on my 2016.

Just a quick pick at the corners and the sticker doesn't seem to want to come off. Any one had luck removing them? This is a Lariat model with the fake leather / vinyl visor so it shouldn't be too hard I would think.

I get there are dangers. Heck driving the truck at the posted speed limit is dangerous in the right circumstances.

Anyone done it and can offer advice?

On the 2011-2016 forums I am on, I have not seen anyone post about the ability to remove the "stickers". Some have tried but none seem to have had any luck removing the heat fused labels. You might try a vinyl "paint" to cover the labels. Your local parts house, autozone, advance, napa, etc might carry or be able to acquire the vinyl "paint" for you. Or maybe Google search for it?

if you have a blow dryer or heat gun just warm it barely. That is how they used to come off.

Be careful, just a pinch of heat should do it.

I believe someone told me that a heat gun will allow you to remove them, but, once they're off you're left with a bad looking visor. The opinion was that it's possible but doesn't help much because the visor gets messed up a bit in the process.

I agree though, the stickers are annoying, the only people that see them are the ones that don't need to be warned...

They make overlay stickers which are sold on eBay to cover the warning stickers.

I read something similar in a search, but was left with the impression that it was on a cloth visor. It was a several year old thread and I have not been able to find any pictures.

I was really hoping someone could give me concrete answers. Perhaps I'll get bored or fed up enough one day soon and see what happens. I do have a heat gun. Might try some goof off too.

Goof off might not be a good idea. Test the goof off in an inconspicuous area.

FYI: I Ruined the simulated wood grain Bezel around the Radio in my 11 F250.
I was trying to remove the residue from some double stick tape with Goof Off.
Ford charged me $250 for a new piece of plastic.

I removed one of the 3 visor stickers on my 15 with the leather visor. Took me prob 3 days in my off time with a heat gun, then once I got a piece started I used rubbing alcohol on a q tip to get the glue to release a little to get a bigger piece than the flake that normally comes off. It took so long thou that I couldn't be bothered with the other two. You can just barely notice a sticker was there thou, it came out pretty good, just super Labour intensive. These overlays sound good as long as they look ok.
