I really like my towing tailgate for towing my 5th wheel around on my 06 F350 and would prefer a towing tailgate on my 17 when it comes in.

I haven't found a new towing tailgate yet, has anyone found one yet?

The big advantages for me are:
1) Not opening and closing the tailgate while connecting to the 5th wheel
2) Eliminating the 'suction' effect from the 5th wheel and the original tailgate
3) Being able to climb into the back of the truck easier without dropping the factory tailgate.

Thoughts or good finds?

That's why they have the auto dropping tail gates so you can drop it without getting out of the truck and close it easily from the side with one hand, and the step to get in and out. What lvl of trim did you get?

 

I'm interested in one also. I email Husky this morning to see when they would have their aluminum tailgate for the 2017 available,no answer yet.

 

I've looked everywhere for one, but no luck yet... unless someone else has found one.

 

I ordered the Lariate Ultimate package. But i still don't like the suction that occurs from towing a 5th wheel with the full tailgate. Every item rear of the 5th wheel hitch is subject to being rapidly sucked out at highway speed. This does not occur as severely with a louvered towing tail gate.
I do like the remote drop function with the key fob though!

Ahem, anyone that has a tailgate with a step in it that plans on permanently removing the it. I would be interested in taking said step gate off your hands for you. Mine doesn't have a step in it and I really miss it.
