Has anyone here found any really-good cyber deals so far?

Harbor Freight hasn't even tempted me enough to stop at one of their stores yet, nor has Home Depot or Lowes.

Any ideas, anyone?

Nothing that put me in the money spending mood.

But my miserness hasn't slowed the missus down. (maybe that should be misery, but that word means something different)

UPS just dropped off a couple of boxes, and the dude was driving a Kubota UTV. Not sure those are even street legal in CA. But it does seem to be a step up from the bicycle with trailer from last year.

For Christmas Missy is getting me a fixed hot water line to bypass the leaking one in the slab . While looking for it I found some more leaks under the kitchen sink to attack

Between us, plumbers have no idea how to make a hole in drywall keeping in mind it'll need to be repaired...

I made the first rectangular hole below, the other 2 were made with a hatchet I think.

Just for fun, can you suggest a nice Coleman or camping related Christmas gift for under 100 bucks? New or used, vintage, of course welcome!

Speaking of repair drywall, I came across this recently. Pretty neat idea to try sometime. On smaller areas.

After I watched the innovative drywall patching video, I also looked at his window frame for recessed blinds.

It's also a good video, but I ESPECIALLY LIKED what came at the very end of it!

Thx Bill for the drywall video! I'm considering a new sheet of green drywall in that area because of the many repairs there over time and some spots have been wet before and now have buckled paper backing.

Since we have 2 more original Cu pipes going the slab, I'm just patching the drywall. After those are repaired, will put in a new sheet.

Not an elegant repair, but the dripping has ended.

A friend in Northridge had this same problem with copper in or below slab, developing pinholes. Two story home.

After saw-cutting and digging up her kitchen floor once, the plumbers finally resolved it a couple of years later when it reoccurred elsewhere by re-doing everything, again in copper, with an exoskeleton of pipes, painting them to match.

When she told me about it I thought it would look really strange, but it wasn't so bad after all.

Found this around the yard. Might be the biggest moth I have ever seen.

That's gotta be a big larva, as well!

Any idea what it is?
