Gas Guage Stuck

Hello all! Hope you had a Merry Christmas. My gas guage on my 1987 F150 4x4 is stuck past full even before start up. It's like that on both of the dual tanks. Before I get involved, anyone have any experience/ advise where is the best place to start? Is the guage grounding out? unhooked by chance? Guage bad? Any help is appreciated. 302 EFI Standard tranny. C Ya :-)

Gas Guage Stuck

Sounds like a wiring problem. If the ground wire is getting 12 volts I think this is what happens.

Question wiered gauge

i have a problem similar with my gauge on my 93 f350 7.3 idi. I bought the truck about a week ago and the guy told me their was an issue no fuel gauge and he said he never used the front tank reason he gave me was the switch or valve was off a gas job and that it wouldn't switch rite to pull from the front and wouldn't run the gauge but I got curious today and switched it the gauge move off of way past full and showed 1/4 tank not sure if accurate but drove on it for about 30min till home so now Im confused and not sure what to do cause I hate not knowing how much fuel I have or if its actually using the front tank or just reading the gauge of front take and pulling from rear or just a random reading plz help cause im not good with electrical stuff
