Aftermarket wheels

I bought a 2016 F250 Super Duty with stock 20" wheels. I plan to swap them out for aftermarket wheels and 35" tires. My question is, on my truck I have manual locking front hubs. What options exist to add an aftermarket wheel and still have access to the locking hubs? leave the center cap off? Put the center caps on and remove them if I ever need to lock the hubs?

Looking for advice.

Your front hubs should have 2 positions, Auto and Lock. So you don't HAVE to lock the hubs for 4wd. They will automatically do it when you flip the switch on your dash. But yes you still want to keep them accessible and most aftermarket wheels have an open and closed center cap to accommodate this.

If you have manual hubs, meaning you have a floor t-case shifter, then you will need to access the hubs to lock them in. Your hub positions will be "free and lock". In this case, when the wheel company does not offer an open front hub cover, I know lots of times a hole saw was used to drill out a roughly 4" hole for access. If you are one to rarely need 4x4, some carry a tool to remove the cover and get to the hub.
