M1 Bumpers from SmittyBilt

Not sure if they make one for the Ex, though both the F250 & F350 are listed, so maybe.

Smittybilt Part 614830 - M1 Truck Rear Bumper - Textured Black-WS3

I do like the way these look.

F250/F350 bumpers from 99-03 will fit your excursion, it's the same platform.

for $1300 per copy, if I'm going to spend that kind of money, THEY HAVE TO FIT.

My wife would kill me other wise.

Well, on their site, they only list 2008 - 2010 & 2011 - 2015 F250/F350

I'm wondering if those year trucks will have the same frame rails as my 2005 Ex?

Plus, after purchasing them, I'll have them blasted to bare metal and then powder coated to match the truck.

For the rear bumper, I'll drill in the proper location, the number and size of the holes to mount the backup warning system back in the rear bumper after it would also be blasted and powder coated to match the truck. I'll install new backup sensors and just plug them back in to the original harness.

There are subtle differences between generations of bumpers. 08-10 bumpers do not line up very well with our excursions at all.

11-16 bumpers bolt up to the frame horn- but you have to drill an extra hole in the frame horn for it.

99-04 bumpers are a direct fit.

05-07 bumpers are mostly a direct fit- I forget if they kept the previous generation bumper or went with the 05 f250/350 bumpers. Excursions where manufactured slightly differently.

2017 bumper bolts right up if you drill like the 2016 bumpers, but you have a gap under the headlights.

Any 99-07 off road bumper for an f-250/350 SHOULD technically fit your ex.
