Looked at a '17 yesterday and now I want one

Was content with keeping my '13 for a long time(just paid it off last month) until I looked at a new '17 yesterday, now I really want to get one .

Truck I looked at was a CCSB STX 4wd with 6.2. MSRP was $42645 and they had a sale price sticker in the window of $39740 + another $1000 off if you used Ford credit. Only thing it didn't have that my current truck has is the 4.30 e lock rear axle.

I planned to keep mine until the 2018 model year.
So much for willpower. You're in trouble now. You've got the bug.

I know. When I bought this truck I told my wife I was going to keep it until the wheels fall off. After seeing pictures of the new '17's I had no desire to own one but after seeing them in person I really like the looks(except for maybe the fender badge)and how high they sit. Now I'm telling her my decision to buy a regular cab was a mistake and I'd like to have a rear seat again, maybe that will grease the skids a bit.

Sounds like a valid reason to me .
I made the mistake of taking one for a test drive a couple of weeks ago. Now I have one on order.

Whatever you do don't go drive one - you will get the "new truck fever" and the only cure is to purchase one! :-)

Save your money, the 17's are not what you want and they cost too much money, etc, etc, etc
But don't drive one.............

My wife has always liked my trucks, but she loves my 17SD. I'd say, find a way to get her in one, and she very well might be asking you to buy it!

I'm driving a 2005 with 200,000 + miles on it. It's just time for me. I've had new truck'ides for months now. Going in tomorrow to place my order for a Blue Jeans Lariat Ultimate.
