Disc Brakes Conversion

I have a 1966 f100 and like to change over to disc brakes. I found a 1976 f250 can you convert f250 disc brakes to 1966 f100?

Thanks

F100 = 5 bolt 5.5" BC (Bolt Circle)

F250 = 8 bolt 6.5" BC

No.
No F250 disc brake parts will fit an F100 or F150.

F100/150's have 5 lug wheels on a 5.50" bolt circle, 1973/79's have single piston caliper disc brakes.

F250's have 8 lug wheels on a 6.50" bolt circle, 1973/79's have either single or dual piston caliper disc brakes as it depends on the GVWR

You would not be able to take the '76 F250 front spindles and attach them to your F100 I-beams but, if you swapped the entire F250 front suspension over, it would bolt in. However, you would have to run 8-lug wheels and then you'd have to change the rear end to an 8-lug Dana to match the lug pattern in the front --a lot of work.

If you're going to swap to front discs using Dentside donor parts, you would be better off installing the front discs/suspension from a '73-'79 F100 or from a '75-'79 F150.

If unable to find a donor truck, or locate a salvage yard where customers can pick their parts and save on labor, cost wise, a kit possibly a better option, kits usually include all the components for the upgrade. Anyhow, food for thought?

In upgrading my 65 I spent a great deal of time touring salvage yards, after laboring in removing I Beams, spindles, etc., took the I Beam in to have new bushings installed and found they were not salvageable. Returned and purchased the entire front I Beams, spindles from wrecking yard, did not include the MS, pads, proportion valve, etc.. Later researched and found there was not that much difference in what it cost me to that of a kit.

Posting link as example only; in event decide to go this route, there are a number of manufacturers, perhaps member familiar with the kits will chime in?
