rubber ***** on cup holder

The little rubber ***** on the interior of my cup holder that hold the drink in place have sunk in and they won't automatically come out like they are designed to. Has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas?

Pull the inserts out and push the ***** back into position. Maybe put something behind them to keep it from happening again

Hmm, by chance does doing that, make room for larger bottles, i.e. PowerAde bottles? I miss being able to take the inserts out to make room for larger bottles, as I did in our former Expy.

I dunno...I've yet to remove them. But taking them out will probably just leave a big open hard plastic pocket that can't hold much of anything. You'll have to experiment.

I'd just be happy if mine were to stay in. I've even thought about cutting them out of my holders. They're pretty tight on cans and the holder is deep enough that a cup or can will never fall out without them.

Try it,, my 2015 seems to be one piece other than the stupid removable disk on the bottom..

I have been thinking of using heat gun to warm it up and then forcing my coffee mug down into the hole to reshape it..

I have a 2017 loaner while the dealer tries to fix the wind noise in the driver's door on my '16...it has a better cup holder design with spring loaded buttons that press in...it appears to be a separate piece that can be replaced without replacing the entire console. it does have console shift and my 2016 has column shift, but I suspect that doesn't matter...just improved design for 2017. Going to check with the dealer to see if that part is available when I pick up my truck.
