4 barrel intake/water neck/sending unit issues!

I'm talking about the thermostat housing...Again, the 5/8ths heater hose fitting with a hole for a sensor....I just want to know what the thread sizes are, I'm guess this may work.
Ford Part number: E5TZ-18599-C
I attached a pic. Sorry I should have included this earlier

^ Will not work, this has metric threads. ^
Post #16: This won't work either = E5TZ-18599-C .. Hot Water Heater & A/C Connection / 3/4" -14 male connector x 3/8" -18 female connector for 3/4" heater hose.

If you can use a 90* housing the aftermarket has some. Trans-Dapt Performance 9524 Thermostat Housing Chrome 1967-70

Thanks for the part info Bill. And Yes, Jeff I already realized that it is dumb to put it in the heater hose after I thought about it. Thanks for the suggestion but we're back to the original problem which is that I cannot find an aftermarket water neck (or any water neck for that matter) that has both the sensor hole, and the mid-66 and earlier, large size thermostat. I have an early style 4 barrel manifold from a car. I'm giving up on this endeavor though. Just going to make a spacer for what I have and forget it.

Also the early 1966 the intake manifolds ports don't match up to the 67-up smaller ports on the cars & trucks 360/390 not sure about the 67 trucks 352 port size tho.

The intake came on the truck. I don't know what it is from. Could be a 352. IDK. Someone else said earlier that it was from a car. I have the original 2 barrel though that came with the truck. Maybe I should just put it back on there.

Thiers always the red neck way of using what you have. Lightly apply some JB weld/ to the housing an put the thermostat into place let it setup than install with a new gasket & some sealer on both sides of the gasket. Good to go. Coolant or and pressure would be pushing on it from the inside, so it won't pop the stat out of place with the coolant.
Best to fix it right but if it's keeping you from driving it I'd RED NECK IT for now.

Have you already mounted the intake? You ought to gasket match them and make sure it will fit your heads before finding a spot for the temp sender. Don't forget what Orich posted above.

On the T-stat housing. I don't think you want the gauge reading on the rad side of the T-stat. If there isn't a port on the intake for it, maybe drill one. I've seen those intakes a drill bit wouldn't touch tho. good luck.
I have one of those big t-stat housing hoarded away, last time I needed one I couldn't find on in any parts store's system. Before internet tho.

If you are asking me, yes I am. Note what Bill posted earlier. As of production date 12/1/66 your intake could have either size stat. I don't remember reading anywhere of you stating which stat you have. So my question is valid.
2 1/2" diameter thermostat: 1958/66 FE Passenger Car 2V/4V; 1965/67 F100/350 352 2V; 1967 FE Passenger Cars before production date 12/1/1966.
FE Passenger Cars from production date 12/1/1966, 1968/76 F100/350 360/390, the thermostat is 2 1/8" diameter.

Yepper. That's where I copied your info. I don't remember OP ever saying which one he has. I know he said the bigger stat. But bigger than what? Bigger than the other FE stat? Bigger than another make of vehicle? Etc. I'm not trying to be difficult. Just making "sure" later model housing wouldn't work.
