Pinion Redi Sleeve Seal Saver

Since I'm going to be rebuilding and upgrading the 8.8 soon, I'm curious to know if using a seal saver or Redi Sleeve is recommended. I'm interested to know if this would be a good preventative measure to take.

If the grove worn in the yoke from the seal isn't too bad, just clean it up with some scotch bright or emery cloth. If you can catch a finger nail on the grove I'd replace the yoke.
