56 ford truck transmission floor pans

Can anyone tell me the difference between these two 56 F series trucks transmission floor pans? I actually have three of these trucks, two F-100's, one with a column shift and one with a floor shift. The third one is a F 250 with a floor shift. I think the 250 is the one on the left. Im not sure what the slot beside the floor shift hole is on the one on the right.

Maybe the slot was for a PTO lever? Just a guess.

Thanks Toby, you just struck me with a lighting bolt. Now I realize the one on the left is for one of my 1/2 tons with floor shift. The pan on the right is for my 250 and right beside the floor shifter is the emergency brake handle. Its for sure the EB Handle slot. Thanks for sending me a wake up.

That's right Outlaw!

Why does the one on the left have the groove to accommodate the speedo cable and the right one does not? I will have to look at my 54 F100 and 55 F350 to see how they differ tomorrow.

That spot you are talking about is for the park brake cable. The one with out the spot has a park brake on the trans
