PCM won't comunicate with scanner 1995 7.3

Ok guys I have a 95 f-350 7.3. I am having an issue with a computer not being able to communicate with the pcm through my obd-I so we are thinking a ground issue I could only find one ground going to the frame and it is from the body (cab) the motor is grounded to the cab are there any other grounds that you guys know of that I should have or that I just can't find because those 2 grounds look fine

Are you sure your pcm is updated to be obd2 compliant?

It's not a ground issue. The '95s have to be updated to OBDII. I think the Ford dealership can do it, not sure on that though.

My 95 Van did not need that ....but maybe F Series are different.... I know the 94.5 trucks were....My Original PCM is the TEE5 code and it still works ...at least I think ...I have to re-install it to find out ...

Have you resolved your issue? I'm having the same problem?

These guys already covered it. I just went through this and got a '96 PCM. 95 will not do the OBDII thing.

Yes it will. Well, it won't do STANDARD OBD-II, but neither will any other year OBS PSD. All our generation of trucks need something that understands "Ford Enhanced" OBD-II. The '95s just need to be flashed. Both our '95s talk to AE and AF just fine; they must have been flashed at a dealer sometime before we bought them. I've even got my ScanGauge-II to pick up a few parameters (although it won't obtain codes or do tests).

My 95 works with Torgue Pro and a BT ODB-II dongle but have no clue what was done prior to PCM

Mine hasn't been reflashed and my AE won't work, but for some reason the cheap obd-ll scanner I use on gassers can read codes on my truck?
