1990 f-250 2wd 8 lug 16.5 rim change out

Just purchased my 1990 f-25 2wd and found out I need to change rims in order to get new tires as all the ships in town tell me the 16.5 rims are no longer made. What rims will work with this year truck? I tried a set that a guy said he took off his old 96 which did not fit my truck. Would like used due to funds but don't know what to look for when searching craigslist and similar sites. Any advice would be appreciated. What year and type of vehicles have compatible 8 lug wheels.

I have done this before and used f-250 16in rims or f-350 srw 16in rims. Just need to insure the center hole is the right size.

welcome to FTE. your 90 F-250 originally came from the factory with 16 inch rims, the 16.5 rims you currently have are aftermarket.
there are a few places where you can buy military goodyear wrangler 37X12.5X 16.5 radial hummer takeoffs in like new condition for decent price, a lot of people get them off ebay.

F250 H/D & F350 went to metric wheels in 1999, but no Econoline of any year has metric wheels.

The '96 F-250 rims should fit. What was wrong with them?

he said he took them off a 96 Bob, but the guy did not say they fit his 96.
i have seen people try to run chevy rims. they fit the truck by lug pattern, but chevy uses lug centric rims and larger lug nuts than the ford hub centric rims use.
