Is there a Duraspark II "kit" out there

I've been running a one wire Dizzy system and "just not happy" with it.
Continuously pinging under load (does have vac advance) but this is the second dizzy. The first on fell apart and started back firing through the carb and stopped working, manufacturer said the weights "sized" and sent me another one.

This on is starting to break-up under load, just as the first one did.

So is there a kit to set up a Duraspark II system?

This is a non-computer, 351, with an Edelbrock 4v carb and intake.
Looking for the:

Duraspark II dizzy,
Ignition Module
Regulator?
Wiring harness
Coil

What else do I need?
Is there is a way to use the TFI style High voltage coil on the duraspark system?
Thanks

If you have to get a dist what if you went old school and got a remanf. point dist. and installed a PerTronix module for a point-less dist.?

I would think wiring would be easier than the DS II dist. & box & wiring.

I think the MSD RTR (ready to run) dist. is a lot of money but think you can get them in a large cap to stop cross fire if that is what you want.

The TFI coil has too low resistance and will cause the transistors in a DSII module to fail.

I don't know of any 'kit' with all the components, and afaict the distributor plug is unobtainable, except in the $$$ Painful harness.

My truck is 30 years old and it was the last DuraSpark vehicle available.
No wonder parts are becoming difficult to find.

I do have one for sale here in Canada but the shipping cost to the US (or anywhere) would be insane.

You can buy all that stuff in the store reman or new except the wiring. Here's some places in Connecticut that might have the wiring.
I plugged in a 1980 ignition module, and you can see a car or two came up. Any car or truck, 4 cyl, 6 cyl, 8 cyl, Ford Lincoln Mercury will work for the module and the wiring. Just make sure it has a blue module. If you can get a motorcraft module in the junkyard grab it. I figured if they had the module, they may have the car or truck still in the yard with the wiring. You just need the wiring between the dist and the module.

A conversion wiring harness is available from several sources.

Painless Wiring is $150.00.

Harness Electrical Connectors-
Amazon Amazon

On the actual connectors themselves, you will see a Part I.D. No. They may still cross in the FORD CDP and may still be available. You have to re-pin them. They sold well as they became brittle and broke easily when changing out.

Can you adjust the vacuum advance canister (the ones with the hex shape at the vacuum nipple are adjustable)?
What is your total timing (initial + advanced)?
Can you back off on the timing some?

What brand dizzy did you buy - if it cheaply made and not recommended we want to be aware and stay away from that brand.

Hi all
Went back to duraspark back in November, and have not had any issues since!
The one-wire system I got was from Skip White Racing.

1st one "seized" (that's what they said) after about one season of driving, the second started to pop and spit just like the first one did before dying, so out it went. Found a harness in a bone yard in PA, and got a new dizzy, had it tuned for my truck, and couple of NOS modules and off to the races..... been fine ever since.

You haven't hi-jacked anything. Just wondering if you had the 351 kit and showed the wrong picture.
