How many spare wiper motors do you have?
#2
I just replaced my original - no spares.
The original had an intermittent high pitch squeal. Pretty loud.
I went with a NAPA reman "premium with new gears and just the right amount of grease" as I heard the Cardone was not so hot.
The first reman had a pretty loud low pitch growl. The second was not much better. The third was a little better and I ran it. It makes noticeably more noise vs OE but seems to work OK. I sure hope it keeps working.
Changing it is not my favorite job. Upside down, tight, a tricky clip to R&I by feel for the linkage and R&I the switch connector block. I cut the wires on the original so I could pull them out. Wires for the replacement are re-routed... I did not see any way to follow factory wire routing without at least pulling the cluster which I did not want to do. Too easy to damage something.
