Question Running truck w/out dpf?

I have a question: if I drop the Dpf ( I want to clean it), can I startmy truck?
Is it possible that I go in no start condition or only dtc will show up? Can I do damage to engine or anything else if I drive my truck without dpf? (I mean without any pipes installed or mods?

The trucks computer relies on data from pressure sensors on the dpf. If the data is not there the truck will not function correctly.

If it goes into regen without a tailpipe, your neighborhood will be just as clean as the investigation. (and I would call a buddy to get to work)

I say no.

ok next question: how can it go in regen if there is no back pressure? And there goes the main question for me: how Computer knows when to start regen? I understand that when it is clogged like mine on 150.000 miles it is backpressure, but for example when it is new? or comp just programmed to start regen after exact miles?

the back pressure sensor is in the manifold.....if the sensor gets crud on it...it can throw the engine into regen mode even if there is no back pressure. theres a few yuotube videos on how to pull the back pressure sensor and clear out all the carbon on the sensor and in the hole.
