56 ford stock inner fender photos

Im looking for photos of stockdriver/passenger side inner fenders and firewall. If anyone can help post a collection of photos so we can all have an idea of what the original location of all parts was, it would be interesting to see how it all started and how its all been changed by different owners.

Thats awesome Abe. Good photos! I have seen voltage regulators for generators on both sides of the inner fender. I wonder what determined which side they mounted it on. I believe that both inner fenders are also always drilled out to mount the voltage regulator too. Im going to swap generator for alternator so I will probably weld those holes shut on both inner fenders. Thanks for sharing.

Abe, in some of the pictures in your file, I see some kind of a junction block beside the horn relay. None of my trucks have that, just the horn relay. It looks like your truck does not have it either. I do remember some kind of a white porcelin looking bar in that area around the horn relay.

I know. Do you think it depended on the assembly plant? In 1999 I bought the stock style wiring harness from MidFifty. Everything went smoothly as I was putting it in until I got to that side of the firewall. The wires were too short to reach the starter solenoid. I called MidFifty and they said there is a junction block there. I told them my truck was stock, unaltered with no signs of a junction block ever being mounted there. If you look closely you'll see I had to splice wires in to reach the horn relay.
