Hi, I have 78 F100 4x4 Cleveland 351.
Does any body know what the orignal wheel and tyre size would have been.
It has a lift kit. The lift kit would not have been factory right?
I am thinking of putting it back to how it was.
Thanks,
It also might depend on the vehicle's wheelbase & GVWR. If you have the owner's manual look in the back portion of the book. I don't have the one for '78. If it's a five lug, the wheel should be a 15x5.5 or 15x6 for tubeless tires. In '76 H78-15 was the standard tire with several optional sizes, some for tubeless and some for tube type. There was also a 16" option, but only for tube type. The wheelbase & GVWR should be shown on the ID tag.
