5 spd manuals

Full disclosure: this is concerning Mustangs, not trucks.

I am looking for another car to pull behind our motorhome (toad). I would love to have that be a 2005 - 2010 or so Mustang. For some reason the pre2005 manuals can be towed 4 wheels down. Starting in 2005 with the latest body style (which I really like) states from the owners manual that they can't be towed 4 wheels down. Did Ford really change the manual transmission for the V6 or did they just decide not to worry over warranty problems towing might cause?

I think the trans changed. Not all MTs will tolerate wheels down towing. Even the old NP435 will burn up doing that. If Ford says no, I would leave it at that. Pulling a driveshaft would be a pita, and would be a questionable answer depending on how far you are going etc.
