1999 7.3 loss of power windows and instrument cluster
I was installing a brake controller and repair wiring at the seven pin today for a customer and noticed when I began work I have no power windows, power seats, or instrumentation on the dash. Truck otherwise runs fine.
Got wiring for the brake controller straightened out and thought I could get the other stuff working, but I went through all the fuses and could find nothing amiss. Several comments on the Internet about a power saver relay board built into the back of the instrument cluster. Does that fit these symptoms?
Thanks,
Steve

I know on my 2002 Excursion there is a green plug under the rear of the driver's seat that if unplugged will stop the seat from functioning. I thought it was the seatbelt chime a while back
Maybe somebody kicked that? Not sure what else it might control, but since you've looked under the dash already, figured a different location might be helpful to check?

An update. After the above responses, I decided to check a little harder for something disconnected and it turns out there is a large plug when you pull the big cover to get to the fuse panel cover, etc, under the dash. That plug had come partially undone and was loose. Plugging it back it, returned life to the instruments, power windows, and power seat in the truck I was working on.

When my adjustable pedals didn't work, I found the plug under the dash was unplugged.
Do you think this is a sign of a larger epidemic? Un-plugger-holics on the loose?
