Gauges went crazy after dead battery - HELP!
Had my 2005 Motorhome E-450 V10 parked for about 2 months. Wwnt to start it today and battery was dead. Battery is dated 6/14.
Charged battery with 6amp charger for 4 hours. Started with no problem but.....
My check engine icon, wrench icon, check gage lights are on. Also on right side the Check Gauges is displayed on the green digital display.
See pic of all lights that came on.
I tried disconnecting battery for 15 minutes.....no change
Prior to this issue, starting was no problem and no lights ever came on.
What is going on????!!

Sounds like your scangauge is fried. Have you tried it in a different vehicle to see if it still works correctly?
Try disconnecting the negative battery terminal and let it sit that way for about an hour and see if it changes anything. Leave the scangauge disconnected. You might also try resetting the scangauge to default.

Replaced with a new unit and STILL same problem!!
As soon as I plug it into OBD port my dash gauges go crazy, tach stops, gauges stop working and CHECK GAUGES digital display comes on, icon of engine and a wrench come on. As soon as I unplug scan gauge all goes back to normal.
Scan Gauge is closed today or I'd call them.

So, since I installed a NEW ScanGauge II and the identical problem persists,
can it be that my OBD II is not recognizing the ScanGauge II and/or recognizing it incorrectly?
Does the OBD II need to be reset? How is this done?
I'm at a loss of what to do next at least until Monday when I call the Scangauge company.
