5.4 Fuel Injection in Classic Help

Hello FTE,

I may have an engine swap opportunity for my 1954 F100.

My sister's parked truck was hit by a driver who had lost his wheel. It may be totaled, hit in the rear. It is a 5.4 V8, from a 2002 F150 Lariat Edition. I know for certain the engine has been meticulously maintained. Not too sure of the mileage yet, but I would love to rebuild it and put some speed parts into it.

Only problem, how much of a wiring harness do I need to hook up a new fuel injected motor into my 54? I know Ford sells these units, but I'm not too sure what this type of swap would need as far as to get hooked up and running.

Also what would be the best fit as far as transmission for this year engine. I plan on backing it with a 5 or 6 speed if possible for this truck motor.
