Per the Haynes manual:

"The hydraulic clutch systems on 1983-1987 models are bled and sealed at the factory as a complete system. Therefore, if air has entered this type of system, the entire system must be replaced."

 

I"m wondering why separate parts are available, then. Sounds like the book is wrong. Remember, it's not a Ford factory manual.

 

I have changed individual parts on these trucks without issues. They are not hard to bleed. The Rangers are the ones that are a PITA.
