The engine block above the starter is D1AE-6015-A2C....any info will help its locked up and need rebuilt.
Engine has been swapped, the replacement with its D1AE (1971) casting number prefix could be a 400 if it has 8 valve cover bolts per side.

1980 Bronco could have come w/a 300 I-6, 302, 351M or 400.

The 4th digit of the VIN is the engine code, post what it is.

G = Originally came w/a 351M

351C/351M/400 do not have a timing cover per se, just a flat engine cover plate. The fuel pump bolts to the block, its bolt pattern is @ 6 & 12 o'clock.

400 introduced in 1971 cars, the original block casting number prefix was D1AZ

351M introduced in 1975 cars, 1977 F100/350, 1978 Bronco...would not have a 1971 block casting number.

351M probably died (not uncommon, the cyl. heads were very prone to cracking), so someone swapped in a 400 from a car since both engines are pretty much the same except for the stroke.

pull the spark plugs out, this will help when trying to turn it over. pull both valve covers also so you can check for bent pushrods or lifters not moving.
