Additive put directly into degas bottle

Hello:

In preparation for doing a coolant change on my 2007 F-150 (5.4), a couple of days ago I added a container of Prestone Flush + Cleaner directly into the degas bottle (and have driven the truck since then). But, after doing so my thought/concern is: will the additive actually end up leaving the degas bottle and mix in with the coolant in the radiator and block? Or, will it just sit in the degas bottle unused?

Thank you for all of your help with this.

Over time, it does work its way into the system, but not nearly like when you could dump it directly into the radiator cap. Several warm up/cool down cycles will be necessary.
