Question 94 ranger question

does anyone know how to adapt /modify a 6 cyl tach to read correctly on a 1994 2.3 4 cylinder. appreciate any pointers. Rebnutt

Thanks, everyone for the replies. It seems that a 6 cyl tach won't work on my pickup. My only choice is a 94 mazda b2300. So I will be looking. thanks again for replies

guess from the replies you gpot it would be to install v6! But I would guess you would need a wiring diagram from both to see if there are any resistors or something inline to make it work? I am not a sparky so this is a best guess.

Most tachometers I have seen have an internal switch or jumper to set between 4-6-8 cylinders. Take a look at the internals. Remove the 'rear cover' or 'plug'.
