Bosch Rotors??

Just checking to see how the brain trust here feels about these particular rotors. A retired GM master for 30 years here and I have used these only a couple of times that I recall and never really saw the vehicles again. That could indicate bad or good

This is the first Ford truck I have owned and I have to say I love it!

I always sort of frowned on resurfacing brake rotors personally, I feel removing any metal increases the chances for overheating and warping. But this is just my opinion

I had wanted OEM Motorcraft parts from Rock Auto but for some reason my debit card never did agree with the Visa Certified stuff and neither my bank nor Visa could resolve it So I had to source the parts locally and these "look" to be a well made rotor although I'm sure the point of origin is China.

Just thought I would ask those more familiar with these vehicles and what performs better on them.

Thanks!

Welcome to FTE!!

I'm not sure about the Bosch rotors but I'm certain that they won't be any worse than the OE motorcraft parts. I'd buy MC pads in a minute but an aftermarket rotor for sure.

Thanks for the reply!
They look to be a quality part but as always only installation and time will really tell

I got a set of Centric rotors for about 150 bucks, the hats are powder coated. I'm still using the factory pads with great results..

my messed up back prevented me from this task today and added a trip to the doctor to my list in it's place

Hopefully the shots and pills will help and I can dig into this tomorrow.
Best I can tell my pads are probably about 1/2 left so I'll probably replace those while I'm at things. Thinking NAPA Premium Ceramic here as I always seemed to have good luck on the brand X vehicles during my 30 yr stay as tech.

I've got the Bosch rotors now and they look quality but they don't have any visible primer coating or anything like most OEM's do. Guess I could prime them myself I always apply anti seize between the hub and rotor hat anyway. Hopefully I'll have a report of how good or bad initially they are soon

Thanks for the reply!
