Ignition wiring help

I had to change the plug in the back of the ignition switch on my '76 because the old switch was melty, had a bare wire, and was completely missing a wire. According to the wiring diagram it's missing one of the black and greens.
I wired in the new plug and can't get fire. I get no reaction with a test light on the coil and the key in the on position. The motor cranks over but no fire. One black and green leads to the fuse box and one goes to the coil via the alt relay. I don't know which one goes where because one if the black and greens was gone. The previous guy had jumped something into red and blue going to the neutral clutch switch. I don't know what or why. Can someone please give me an idea of what he may have jumped in to that line and why he would have done that? And if someone happens to have easy access to an original plug can you please send me pics of what it looks like with all the wires? Also if anyone has any clue as to why I have no power to the coil, with a new ignition plug, and maybe how to get power there (is there a way to bypass the harness and get to the coil a back way) that would be much appreciated also. I think the previous owner may have bypassed the harness for some reason, maybe triple in that circuit, I don't know. Thank you.

Here you go, I think the 1st 2 pics are for a 75 and the last a 79?

Yes sounds like the PO did a # on it. Anyway you can call and ask him what went wrong or quit working and caused him to do that rewire?

Other wise you could be in for a long hard wire trace road.

Can't call him. I bought the truck from a guy who had it two years and didn't touch it. He bought it from the genius who rewired it.

As for the push button start switch. If you don't want to repair the wiring to use the key switch, one wire from the push button needs to go to a constant 12 volt hot and the other wire needs to go to the small "S"terminal on the starter solenoid.

I have a 76 parts truck...

Alright I think I know what he did from the clues he left and I may just do the same. Please let ne know what you guys think and wether it will work or not. 1)First off make sure the problem is what I think it is. 2)Run a new wire from starter relay to ignition coil. 3) Jump wire from ignition switch into said new wire from coil to relay. That should get me power to the coil and just bypass any harness issues or previous monkeying around right?
