What is the difference between the 2012 Expedition XLT vs Limited? I am looking at a limited right now but there are some xlt's same year and mileage around for a Little less money around. Is the limited worth the $1000-2000 difference? The limited is at a Ford dealer and is CPO.

 

Mechanically they are the same, Limited gets you option bundles with creature comforts and appearance differences. Many of those can be added to an XLT a la carte. Whether those are worth extra money is up to you.

 

I would personally pay the extra $1K in a heartbeat. You won't be able to add all of the additional equipment for $1K. The leather seats and heavy duty tow package alone would be worth that imho. For $2K I would probably put some more thought into it and decide what I really wanted and what it would cost me to add it. The brochure here will show you all of the specific differences.

btw if the extra $2K is a Limited with CPO versus an XLT without it, that makes a significant difference as well. Or is there an additional fee for the CPO on top of the purchase price? Every dealer does it differently, but just keep in mind it's the same warranty whether the dealer charges you $0 or $2K extra for the CPO.
