Replaced Large Knuckle Seal, need help.

So I replaced a the Large Knuckle Seal because my ESOF was not working and that was deemed the culprit. All said and dobe, no issues until I get go to put in the Auto Locking Hub. The retaining clip that holds the auto locking hub in place will not fit, by about a 1/16 of and inch. The inner retaining clip holding the 3 washers, 2 round 1 hex, fits in there fine. At a lost for word on why the hub would not fit now. Any ideas?

I think you may have pushed the knuckle seal in too far. It my be keeping your axel from protruding enough to get the o-ring on. Try prying the axel from where the u-joint is "out". This may move it enough to get the ring on. A person helping with this is ideal.

I'll give it a shot, but if it was not far protruding I think I would have some wiggle room around those 3 washers, and there isn't. The retaining clip for those washers fits just like it did when I took it apart. Will mess around with it here shortly and let you know if any progress happens.

How about the sealing surface between the hub and locking Hub? Did a piece of o ring break off?

Found the culprit! Damn o-ring on the hub selector is too big. Guess the one in the kit it wrong. I tried the old one and presto! It's just a hair too thick
