Help needed tracking down strange noise.

My dad just bought a 2001 F-250 Crewcab 4x4 w/V-10. 72,000 miles. Anyways i noticed a small almost exhaust leaking sound on the test drive. I had the dealership put it up on the rack so I could see the underside. I noticed that it has the famous broken manifold bolt. So I kinda wrote it off on that we would have to get that fixed soon. Anyways the noise hasn't gotten worse just now noticeing it that it has set times when it happens. It happens around 25 mph then goes away then back at 45 mph, then goes away. I am having a hard time describing it. Almost like the exhaust is building up pressure then releasing it when it gets too high. But then I starting thinking transmission something since it kinda has a delayed shift when the noise happens. Anybody experienced torque converter shutter or have experienced anything similar to what I am trying to describe? I am gonna try to get a recording of it today.

To clarify I am not saying it anything to do with the torque converter. I am just trying to get ideas rolling to find out what is going on.

Here it is. It didn't do it when the truck was cold. But did after it warms up. A exhaust manifold leaking is the other way around isn't it?

I played both clips. I don't hear anything odd.

I am trying to get a better click. It has a change of tone in the clip. Like a popping sound.

I couldn't hear anything from the clips either but check all of the heat shields on the exhaust. they're notorious for cracking and making noise when hot and not when cold. every ford van and truck in our city fleet had issues with them
