Ford wants 1100$ for a new roof. New advice of who else to go through??

 

Head out to a salvage yard. Find a good one and swap it out. Could also get a replacement cab for less than $1100 and just swap the whole thing out.

 

I agree. A Pick and Pull and a cordless Sawzall and done. But just curious, why do you need a roof?

 

A good friend of mine has a beautiful 02 F250 7.3 that was a TX truck its whole life, never saw salt or snow!

It had roof rust issues where it looks like someone added aftermarket cab lights. Parts of the roof were thin and had to be temporarily filled with bondo.

It's now a spring project but sadly rust free trucks are hard to come by in salt country!

 

There is a clean '99 Extended Cab here but shipping would be near impossible.
