Need help finding a bolt.

Hi, Guys - I'm trying to locate a replacement banjo bolt that attaches the wiper and distributor advance vacuums to the carburetor. My truck is a '46 half ton with a V8 and I haven't been able to find this bolt in the normal catalogs.

After reading this again I am thinking that you could use a T fitting if you can't find a banjo fitting. I was at first thinking you needed the above fitting.

Here is a 1/4" T fitting.

I am still trying to figure out your banjo bolt problem. Do you have any pictures to show what you have?

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, I don't think the bolt you described will work for me. I was hoping that someone had an old carb in the scrap pile or on a junked engine and would be willing to sell me the original bolt from the carb.

The bolt connection at the carburetor for the vacuum line is the ford nut that I mentioned. Do you watch Monday Night Football? C'mon Man!

I think he is referring to the bolt that goes thru the banjo fitting, which provides vacuum to the dizzy, then the bolt has a vacuum port on the end that accepts the rubber vacuum line for the windshield wiper(s). I don't have a pic but have seen them for sale on eBay.

I think the title of this thread should have been 'Oldgrayman seeks Fordnut'. Congratulations on solving this.

Seller listed the wrong applications, should read: 1942/47 trucks and 1942/48 Ford/Mercury Passenger Cars.

1948 and later trucks did not use this.
