Rear Sliding Window Track

I recently purchased a 1978 Ford F-150. My first project truck. My rear window seal needs to be replaced. No problems finding information on what to purchase and how to replace it. What I am having trouble with is finding information on replace the track that the rear sliding window sits in. My truck is all original. The sliding rear window track felt has rotted away due to the age, so water sits in the track when it rains. Does anyone know where I can purchase this piece? Thanks!

Just get a whole new window, the original is toast.Go down to the wrecking yard and get one out of a 96 truck. Or brand new they are not that expensive.

I bought mine from JC Whitney. Been a very long time ago though. 20 + years? But it was generic for all windows and came in a stick of like 4'. You had to measure and order the size. Was good stuff though with metal along the edges and metal ribbed.
I just now tried to find it for you and had trouble maneuvering in JC's website. Couldn't find the words to search for it?

tkjoe505,

There is a thread on this site about 4 months old that gave the name of the place to buy the felt. My name is on one of the posts. I bought the felt window channel. works great.

Could you post a link to the item for anyone else who happens to be searching for this? Thanks.
