1987 6.9 Leaking UNDER the IP

Just finished solving my oil leak (woohoo!) and radiator hose leak. Then I noticed diesel.

I dont think its the fuel lines because usually they gush out diesel. I cant see a single drip while the engine is on. But I wiped it clean last night. Drove about 25miles today, and its definitely got diesel there. It seems like its past the injector lines, closer to the bottom of the IP. Anyone know what this could be?

Posting pictures and vid in a few

Im wondering if its actually coming from the other side (closer to the turbo) and washing up to the front by the injector pump. I cant see any leaks/drips.

I watched it twice and didn't see much leaking. Did you make sure your fuel screw cover is sealed up?

I can't see it leak. But I wiped again, drove 10 miles, came back wet with diesel.

Where is the fuel screw cover exactly? Either I can't recall or I don't know ehat/where it is.

Cut out some Polyethylene foam to divide the IP side from the other side. Gonna put some paper on both sides and see which gets hit with diesel. I hope the foam doesn't melt.

Gonna let it cool down. Then drive another 10miles or so and see which paper towel is wet.

The fuel screw cover is that triangular thing. it's help on with some 1/4" hex screws. Tiny little *******s. It could be leaking from there. But that's just a guess.

Ok. It's leaking from somewhere in this area. The IP side...

I checked that triangle cover/plate. It's not leaking from there. Definitely from the bottom of the IP.

There is a weep hole near the front. It means that the internal "umbrella" seal is leaking. You'll have to buy a seal kit and totally disassemble the IP to replace.
