I'm new to the forum and wanting some help with information about a possible 460 build. I'm going to look at the motor Thursday, they guy says it has DOVE heads on it but I'm unsure of the block and crankshaft casting numbers yet. What kind of horsepower would this engine make stock? I would love to have about 400 hp. I know it won't make that stock, but I'm on a budget but still trying to have some fun. I was thinking about running the holley 600 cfm I already have on my 351m along with an edelbrock performer intake. Some 1.75 inch headers with 3 inch collectors and 3 inch exhaust. Possibly some roller rockers. And I want a decent cam but not sure about which one to go with. Would these few mods get me to my desired #'s? I will have the casting #'s off of the block Thursday so I will know exactly what I'm working with.
