New Diesel Excursion Owner

Just picked up a 2005 Eddie Bauer Excursion with the 6.0 Diesel for our family of sevenl. The Honda Pilot we had just wasn't big enough. So excited. Looking forward to the great advice and tips on here.

Good luck with your new truck! Test drove a 5.9 05 Excursion the other day. Those are really nice trucks.

Any idea what has been done to the 6.0 by the previous owner?

Kind of a vague idea. It has had the usual oil changes and fluid flushes, but it has also had a major repair. Looks like new heads, bolts replaced by studs, new EGR cooler, but not sure about the oil cooler. I'm guessing that was probably replaced. I've got a Scancode 2 arriving today to help monitor things in the future. It runs great and looks great. Fingers crossed! Oh yeah, it has also had the turbo rebuilt recently.

Looks great! How do you like that visor above your windshield? I'm considering getting one for my X or 250.

It was there when we bought it so I don't have anything to compare it to. I will say that the paint is chipped off one side of it so I'm not sure how durable they are.
