Replacement coils are available from Rockauto starting at around $12 each... You can always find a 5% discount code with a google search.

For that $38.33 each from AutoZone, you're getting a lifetime warranty so you're probably paying for several of them up front. While their store brand is usually decent enough, they are not Denso/Motorcraft parts that have been private-labeled for the chain.

Any opinions on Denso products? How do they compare to Motorcraft ?
Can get Denso COPs for the misfire problem.

Denso is a common OEM for Motorcraft coils.

In many cases it's exactly the same part.

My two brands of choice are Autolite and Motorcraft. AC Delco are good also if you can get them for your particular application.
I used Motorcraft platinium-iridiums in my 07 3.0.

Motorcraft Coils

We see a good number of the Escape PCMs come through our shop for ignition coil failure. It's a very common issue. Ford has come out with updated Motorcraft coils and plugs to help correct this issue. We recommend Motorcraft simply because our customers who replace with Motorcraft don't blow their PCM out a 2nd time. There are a ton of cheap coil options and even counterfeit Motorcraft coils. When buying, check out the link below regarding counterfeit coils -
