Welcome to FTE, the best ford Truck site on the World Wide Web!

you started off good by showing us pictures of your truck but now tell us more... how long you have had it, what is its history, what are your plans. Also tell us from what corner of the US or Canada you are from.

Welcome to the forum. Always good to see another larger truck being used. Interesting also is the rebuild tag on the engine and the governor still on the engine.

Welcome Zoeliner!
That's a beautiful truck, and I can almost hear that engine humming. Nice pics - more would be nicer.

Teach me, Ray. Is the governor that oval thing in front of the carb?

Yes, Abe. That type governor is essentially an adjustable restrictor plate.
Here is one for a different application.

Welcome to FTE! That is a great looking truck. It looks like it might have started life as a V8 truck. It has a V8 battery box in it.

Welcome! Looks like she still does some work. Expect to have sharp-eyed folks, like Ray and Mark, to quickly pick out important stuff.

Where in the world are you?

In that case it could have the 254 "Big Six" in it. I'm a fan because I have one.

Wow, the condition of that thing is amazing for a dump truck. No cab protection, sides of the bed not beat up. It must have led a sheltered life and worked under a good loader operator.
