Just a thought...

First I want to say that I really enjoy this site and particularly the people on this 2017 forum. It sure would be nice to have a gathering of 2017 Owners that are active in this thread. Does anyone every organize anything like that? Anyone interested?

Sounds like a great idea. Lots of trucks showing up in the next two months...maybe Q1....or early Q2 2017?

Also, we should see about Ford making a "thing" of it. Maybe Josh, or Nate have a connection? I keep in touch with a Marketing guy from the drive event I attended...it was a big deal for the crew that day that they sold me on the truck, and I was returning home to order.

We did this in the 6.7 section of FTE this summer. Many of the regulars met up in Dells WI for a week of RVing, story telling, and adult beverage consumption. It was one of the best camping trips I've ever been on... Doing it again next summer in ME.

That was the idea for the first one Mike. Now we are going to vote each year on where to go next. This summer we voted on Maine so being a New England guy, I planned it for the group. While in Maine, we'll vote on 2018...

Right. Some great spots here in corn country...or anywhere in a few states around.

Feels like another spreadsheet might be in order...

Okay makes sense and I would love to make it to Maine, but a bit of a drive for me. Will wait for next year. You can have my proxy vote for further west next year..

I hear you. I think different guys will skip/make it based on location each year. The Carolina's, TX, and CO have all been mentioned. Drop into the 6.7 section once you get your truck. Lot's of great guys there that have turned into a dysfunctional family of sorts...LOL... Most hang out in the "Prolly a one page" thread. I have a long running thread there too about all sorts of things, but loosely based in an RV theme as it was started the day I picked up my current TH. It's called "Today is the Day."

Saw your pics in the thread Rodney, you are lucky my DW will not drive the truck with the trailer, she has driven 40 ft school busses but refuses to tow.

She drives the truck a lot but not while towing. However, when we had our boat, she had no issue towing our 25' boat on a 30' trailer behind here SUV though.

Just thought to dig up a pic from this years G2G. All the Fords going down the line were our group. There were a few others that stayed in cabins too.

At Carlisle many times clubs get together and rent space and set up a tent and have food etc. The truck show would be a good time, or get a spot at the Ford show. I've never been involved in the arrangements of such things, but could be a fun common interest/premade event.
