Got bored last weekend and needed something for the top of my new yard light pole. Who ever buys this place when I go better like Fords. (The Nieghbors too)
Thanks for all the compliments guys. I figured someone would get a kick out of it. Yes Abe it is supposed to turn to show wind direction.it has an old front wheel hub on it with a sealed bearing. We haven't had any wind since I erected it. Go figure, it's usually always windy here. We are supposed to get some Chinnok winds this Friday so we will see how well it spins. And yes Doc that is snow. It snowed all weekend, it's all melted now.
,Doug.
I don't want to bog this post down with the details but......how did you upsize the logo? How did you make the template for the oval? How big is that bugger and how high is the post? The devil is in the details.

I found some clip art on the Internet and loaded it onto a usb stick. Then I went to Staples and had them print off a couple of different sizes that I thought would fit the pieces of metal sheets that I had. I plasma cut two and put a piece of aluminum between them then welded some thin flat bar around the perimeter to hold them together. The pole is 22 ft tall and it sits on a 2ft pedestal that extends 4 ft into the ground.
