Yes finally lol months of hunting. Had to come from BC. Decent shape but I may chrome them and letters. Thinking spray chrome as the chrome places around are crazy priced. Any ideas

 

My side emblems are in really good shape, the letters are badly pitted



I'm working on the letters now and the wife found a place that sells a small plating kit for small parts like this so will give it a try..

 

The letters don't look too bad. My one set is about the same, the other is good but the C is scraped. Let me know how kit works! I did you get the letters recently? I remember you says you had some others that were similar but not the same font

 

I do have chromed plastic letters I was thinking of using if I can't get good originals so tempting to repair the ones I have seeing as I have nothing to loose in trying. Do you have side emblems for your 54..?

 

I don't on the 54, I see the boomerangs everywhere and you can buy them new from cataligues. I just like how it looks without them I just have the front badge

 

By badge you mean the 7 letters..?

 

No the 54 has just a badge, its a Ford not Merc.

 

Sorry, I thought your 54 was a Mercury too..
