Alternator putting out 13/13.5v. Do I need to replace?

The alternator at the parts store should already have the correct pulley on it.
But like Macrobb said, what are you going to do when the new alternator doesn't charge the batteries? Find out where the problem is before you start throwing money at anything. The US Govt has already proved that money doesn't solve any problems.

Did you (or did he) ISOLATE the batteries (disconnect one negative) for the test? If not, the test was meaningless; it only tested the sum total of the capacity of the two batteries, it didn't test each battery's capacity.

So if you are seeing 13 volts or so that seems like battery voltage from good batteries to me. Should be 14 to 14.2 volts with a load as someone suggested in a previous post
