Catylitic Converter

My first car, my 97' F-250, needs some exhaust work. Since I'm pretty poor at the moment I will only be replacing what is needed, just the cat, muffler, and tail pipes.I'm trying to replace the catylitic converter but I'm confused which model would fit my truck. I don't Mind universal fit cats. I'd like to keep the cost under 200.

On mine, I just had the 1st cat gutted and a Hi-Flow catalytic converter put in the place of the second.

Are you sure you need to replace it?

Since your truck uses the dual y-pipe configuration (more like a h-pipe) a universal converter is not going to work without using adapters. If you live outside of Cali. then a Magnaflow 55213 will be a direct replacement. There are others, but either way be prepared for sticker shock.
