Do any of you know a great mechanic in the Los Angeles area that will have the know-how to work on my '82 F250?

Eventually I'd like to be able to handle a lot of this myself, but currently I'm a novice when it comes to anything outside of oil changes and such. I just had the carb rebuilt, and I'm pretty sure I got fleeced on the price. Just would like to have a good person to go to, to get this beast up to speed to where I can work on the actual renovations.

Is it a diesel? Magic Auto in Saugus is pretty good on Ford trucks. They have official Power Stroke signs all over the place and a direct connection to Ford for software updates. I haven't had them do anything to my V10 but they sounded like they see quite a few. All they have done for me is inspect my springs and install the RAS I had with me.
